Tempered glass sheet

This is a glass plate processed to increase strength (to make it less likely to break).

By heating the plate glass as uniformly as possible to a temperature near the softening point (600-630°C) and then rapidly cooling it uniformly outside the furnace, tensile stress is generated, which in turn induces compressive stress in the surface, resulting in strengthening. By strengthening, it becomes more resistant to strength and thermal shock.

Tempax Reinforcement Board

By reinforcing the Tempax glass plate, the strength and thermal shock resistance temperature are increased by approximately twice. Additionally, it is safe even when broken.

■Tempered glass is glass that has undergone heat treatment and rapid air cooling to enhance its surface strength. ■In the case of Tempax, the strength and thermal shock resistance temperature are increased by about twice. (In the case of soda glass, the strength increases by about 3.5 to 4 times.) ■Even if tempered glass breaks, it does not shatter into sharp pieces like regular glass; instead, it breaks in a scaly manner, which reduces the risk associated with breakage.
